National Finals 2017.2

Austria organised their first competition in order to select a song for the third edition of EPLN Song Contest. The national final featured one returning artist in the competition: Rose May Alaba, who represented the country at the second edition.

Unfortunately, Thomas David didn't qualify for Austria in the contest and came 12th in the first Semi Final with 119 points.

Italy organised their first competition in order to select a song for the third edition of EPLN Song Contest. 15 songs took part and the national final featured some famous artists like Zucchero, Giorgia, Mario Venuti, the finalist of X-Factor Davide Merlini ...

Giorgia came 9th in the contest. It is the best result from Italy so far.

After bad results last edition, Norway decided to organise their national final. It featured big names in the Norwegian music industry such as Alan Walker, Julie Bergan and Astrid S. Although Sofia Carson participated in the American selection, she was allowed to participate, along with Alan Walker, in the Norwegian selection as well because she was out of the competition.

Alan Walker and Sofia Carson won the third edition of the contest with 199 points, which is the best result of Norway. It is also the second victory of Norway.

Poland didn't qualify for the second time in a row. As a result, Poland decided to organise their first national final. The final featured 8 songs fighting for a place to Brussels.

Unfortunately, Ewa Farna didn't qualify for Poland. She came 16th with 58 pts in her Semi Final, which represents the worst score of Poland in the contest.

Slovakia entered the top 10 twice in the contest. As a result, Slovakia decided to create a national final featuring 5 songs.

Celest Buckingham did a very good job by ending up at the 2nd place during the contest with 185 points.

Spain organised their first national final called "La Canción de España". The selection featured 5 songs including big names in the Spanish music industry.

Spain came 17th in the Grand Final with 83 points.

United States had the biggest selection so far with more than hundred songs. However, the producers selected 20 songs for the final round. The national final featured big names in the music industry such as Rag'n'Bone Man, the Greek representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 Kalomira, Amy Lee and the new artist AJR who became famous a bit later.

United States came 4th with 162pts thanks to Rhys. It is the best result for United States so far.
